When the bus or a car runs out of power...
Freber is proud to have delivered the first Rescue Charger system to Connect Bus.
Connect Bus has received a mobile battery bank with a fast charger which has been delivered by Freber in Drammen and developed in cooperation with Ekoda in Austevoll. Rescue Charger is intended for use as an emergency charger in situations where the electric bus has run out of power. It can be used all year round and is able to deliver the necessary power when needed.

For Connect Bus, we have chosen to install the system in a van, but it can also be mounted on a trailer, or delivered as a stationary unit if you want to use it for other purposes.

The Rescue Charger can be supplied with two different battery banks, 66 kWh or 88 kWh. The fast charger has a capacity of up to 90 kW and can deliver power up to an hour at full load. The unit weighs approximately 900 kg with the largest battery pack and can easily be installed in a van without the total weight exceeding 3.5 tons.

The battery bank can be recharged either with a CCS2 charging socket or 400V industrial socket. In addition, the system is equipped with a 230V and 400V socket for power to hand tools or similar. When not in use, the system can be connected to maintenance power so that the system is ready for use at short notice.
